If you're joining us for UniBrass 2021 in Sheffield, here's all the information you'll need to enjoy the event safely.
We are so excited to be back! It's our first hybrid contest, our first outdoor contest, and also the first contest for the brass band movement after lockdown - a very exciting day! We've changed things up a bit, as necessary following the year we've had, but the 2021 contest will still have the same flavour of UniBrass you love!
To make sure everyone can enjoy the contest safely, here are some procedures we'll need you, our lovely audience, to follow:
Social Distancing must be maintained: 1 metre minimum outside, 2 metres indoors
Face Coverings must be worn indoors and during the screening process on arrival
Hand Sanitiser will be available and regular use is encouraged
Lateral Flow Testing will be required:
Proof of a negative test in the 48 hours prior to the event will be required for admittance
In line with government guidance, two Lateral Flow Tests should be taken in the 7 days prior to the event
We will not be able to test on arrival
We'll have an Arrival Screening Process for all attendees which will include:
Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test within 48 hours
A questionnaire about any recent symptoms or contact with individuals with Covid-19
Collection of details required for NHS Track and Trace
Please do not move any seating or furniture as it will be positioned to ensure safe distancing
On arrival we'll also tell you about relevant Covid rules for the venue. Please follow all the procedures in full and be respectful of our staff and volunteers. We all want to have a safe and enjoyable contest, celebrating the success of university bands. Anyone who fails to comply with the rules will be barred from the event.
If you'd like to read UniBrass' full Covid-19 protocol document, it can be found here.
If you have any questions please email email@example.com.
A little note on ticketing
Please note this event is free and not ticketed. We expect we will have enough space but we can not guarantee this, so we recommend arriving a little before the band you want to see to take your place.
We will also be streaming the contest into bars in the Student Union. Indoor Covid measures will apply.
If a queue for the outdoor audience area develops, we may ask you to move to a streaming area after three bands to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the live performances.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we look forward to welcoming you to UniBrass 2021!
