As a charity dependent on public support for our work, we have a duty to be transparent with how we work to make sure you are confident your support is used in the best way.

In 2014, the UniBrass Foundation was set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered in England and Wales (reg. no. 1,159,359) with the Charitable Objects:

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art of the brass band movement, primarily but not exclusively by organising an annual university brass band championships of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Foundation is managed by a team of charity trustees, who are responsible for guiding the charity's work, supporting the contest, and often working on individual projects. We are governed by our constitution, bye-laws and policies. â€‹
